The “Pomaret” rehabilitation project involved work on an iconic building in Barcelona with the aim of highlighting its original character, while incorporating improvements that reinforce its identity and urban presence.
The main intervention focused on the restoration of the porticos, distinctive elements of the façade, which have been refurbished and painted in a carefully selected blue tone to recover the building’s original chromatic essence, while adding a touch of freshness and contemporary personality. This color helps to highlight the volumes and openings of the façade, enhancing its architectural readability and reinforcing the dialogue with the surrounding environment.
The intervention was carried out with respect for the building’s heritage value, employing appropriate conservation techniques and high-quality materials to ensure the durability of the restored elements and preserve their authenticity.
With this project, “Pomaret” becomes an example of how careful rehabilitation can breathe new life into historic architecture, preserving its spirit while adapting it to contemporary requirements with sensitivity and aesthetic rigor.
