The rehabilitation project “Dr. Roux”, in Barcelona, has involved a comprehensive intervention focused on the recovery of an entrance space with a high patrimonial and decorative value, with special emphasis on the preservation of carpentry, wrought iron, furniture and ornamental elements.
Careful restoration of the original access doors has been carried out, respecting the solid wood and the glazing with artistic wrought iron grille, which provide character and authenticity to the space. This work has included the cleaning, consolidation and protection of the original materials, maintaining their historical imprint.
The main staircase and the surrounding walls have been rehabilitated with special attention to detail: the decorative panels and the ceiling and walls moldings have been preserved and repainted, recovering their relief and original elegance. The floors have been restored maintaining the traditional pavement, integrating it harmoniously with the new finishes.
In addition, the existing furniture has been restored, respecting its design and materials in order to preserve its uniqueness and adapt it to current use. This action has contributed to strengthening the identity of the space, favoring its functionality.
The result is a noble entrance that preserves the original spirit of the building, combining heritage sensitivity with architectural quality and contemporary comfort.
