The rehabilitation of the “Alt de Gironella” building, located in Barcelona, has focused on the recovery of structural and access elements with a high architectural and heritage value.
The original wooden beams have been restored, reinforcing their structure and preserving their traditional appearance using techniques that respect historical materials. This action has allowed to preserve the unique character of the space, while guaranteeing the conditions of security and stability.
The entrance to the block has been renovated to improve accessibility and aesthetics, highlighting the original elements and integrating new material solutions that harmonize with the existing building.
Work has also been carried out on the interior and exterior doors, recovering the carpentry when possible or replacing them with new pieces that respect the composition and formal language of the building.
With this action, it has been wanted to dignify the community and structural space of the building, combining tradition and functionality to guarantee its durability and the comfort of its users.
