The “Rec Comtal” rehabilitation project involved work on an old building with the aim of preserving its original charm, while updating the spaces and architectural elements with sensitivity and aesthetic discernment.
An essential part of the intervention has been the restoration of the old windows and shutters, preserving their original spirit and design. The Venetian-style roller blinds have been carefully refurbished, highlighting the traditional mechanisms and the unique character of these elements, which add texture and depth to both the façades and the interiors.
The entrance door has also been restored, becoming a central feature of the project: it is an element that combines solidity, presence, and artisanal detail, setting the tone for the intervention from the very first moment.
Inside the residences, custom-designed furniture has been installed, aiming to balance functionality with the historic character of the building. This furniture brings warmth and practicality while harmonizing with the original materials and existing textures.
With this intervention, the “Rec Comtal” project exemplifies a respectful and contemporary rehabilitation, bringing new life to an old building by combining the value of the past with modern needs for comfort and functionality.
